Practice Makes Perfect

Practicing faith in God will help our faith to grow.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Practicing unbelief can also grow. Many practice unbelief and repeatedly ignore the Bible and refuse to trust the Lord and obey Him. The oftener they do those things the more practice they get at them and the more talented they become at doing them. God knows when they have crossed the line and their rejection and unbelief have made it impossible for even Him to save them.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

So are you practicing faith in God or disobedience to Him?
